Over 3,500 meals.
"It’s a ray of hope for the staff…what a great community effort!"  - Dr. Richard Briones, M.D.
Feed Our Heroes has raised over $70,000 - enough to pay for 3,500 meals.  We are continuing to deliver these meals to local healthcare workers at Good Samaritan and El Camino hospitals.

We know from talking to these workers that they have tremendous appreciation for the outpouring of recognition and support from our community. They also are grateful for the free meals!
Free meals for healthcare heroes.
Our local Healthcare workers are spending many hours on their feet each day leading the fight against the coronavirus.  After a long, hard shift they should not have to find food for themselves.

Seventeen Los Gatos education and community came together to raise the funds to deliver free meals to local healthcare workers.  And we succeeded.

About #FeedTheNeedBayArea
It takes two!  Los Gatos community organizations Feed Our Heroes and #FeedTheNeedBayArea have partnered to provide critically needed food to those most impacted by the coronavirus.

  • #FeedTheNeedBayArea - most vulnerable citizens
  • Feed Our Heroes - healthcare workers

#FeedTheNeedBayArea is a community-driven emergency fund, led by the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce, that is providing free hot meals to the most vulnerable citizens in the Los Gatos area, including seniors, displaced Los Gatos employees and low-income families.

#FeedTheNeedBayArea has also been providing emergency meals to medical workers at local hospitals in absence of other funding sources.  As requirements have expanded, this role will be transitioning to Feed Our Heroes.  Feed The Need will continue to provide meals to the most needy.

Both campaigns sourced all food from our outstanding Los Gatos restaurants, sustaining our local businesses, and their employees, during these tough times.

With the help of your donations, together we ensured those impacted by the coronavirus have the food they need - and deserve.
